Community Classes Begin Soon
News TitleDistrict 146 is once again offering free adult English language classes to community members. Classes will also include lessons on email, internet searches, and Google Drive.

The District is partnering with Governors State University to provide these virtual classes. The spring session will be held February 6 to April 25, 2023.

Three courses will be offered:

Mondays & Wednesdays, 9–10:30 a.m.
ESL exercises, mouse/keyboard training, writing emails, opening and attaching files to emails, using google translate.

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9–10:30 a.m.
ESL exercises, beginner technology skills plus internet search, and Google Drive.

Mondays & Wednesdays, 9–10:30 a.m.
ESL exercises, beginner and advanced technology skills, and Google Drive.

Each participant will receive a Chromebook and study materials to be used throughout the classes. Limited seats are available and participants are expected to complete the whole session.

Registration and pretesting will be held on January 31 from 12 to 3 p.m. at the District Administration Center, 6611 W. 171st Street in Tinley Park.

The English language classes are paid for using funds from the District’s Federal ESL grants.
