Principal Kelly Voliva

Mrs. Voliva joined District 146 as the principal at Memorial in 2017. She has a degree from Purdue University in Education, with a concentration in Special Education; an education specialist degree from Valparaiso University in School Psychology; and a Masters from Loyola University in Educational Leadership.

She brings 22 years of experience in education to Memorial, including service as a special education teacher working at both the high school and preschool levels, a school psychologist, a program administrator working primarily with Early Childhood and Specialized Programming, a Director of Special Education, and a principal.

Here is what Mrs. Voliva has to say…

about her job:
I love interacting with the students on a daily basis. They make my job new and exciting! I also love serving the Memorial School Community, which includes serving the staff and families.

about her goals:
I want to continue building a sense of community within our building.  Student: Teacher: Parent partnerships will bring us the most success.

about herself:
My family is my life, and I’m living the dream!  My husband, Jami, is also an educator, as he serves as a Chemistry and Forensic Science Teacher at Lincolnway East High School. I have two very busy daughters, Libby (7th) and Maggie (6th) that keep me “hopping” from activity to activity and sport to sport.

We spend many hours watching softball and basketball games, attending choir concerts, swimming, and playing with our dog “Lola.” Once in awhile, we also like to play board games and travel…especially to “the happiest place on Earth,” Disney World!
